Meditation Illuminations

If the roots of a plant are suppressed its growth is
affected and the plant is hindered in its effort of expansion.

For this reason expand beyond apparent boundaries
with conscious awareness and intelligence. Meditate on an
expanded state so that the soul can grow with strength
and radiate its light.

Expansion is another way to break down the perception of separation causing the practitioner to remain in a state of Yoga.

"We become that which we meditate upon. In meditating on expanding illumination we become a shinning light in any darkness."

Meditation Technique
Use the techniques of Inner Illumination meditation to light up the inner spirit before using the expansion techniques.

Focus on expanding from the skull outward. Expand awareness just a little to begin with then slowly increase.

When expanded there is a feeling of openness. The mind space feels very large.

The amount of expansion fluctuates at times. Its energy and space seems to change and effort must be applied to maintain the openness.

When thoughts occur the consciousness contracts inwards and must be expanded out again.

When thoughts occur the consciousness contracts inwards and must be expanded out again.

At times Yoga is felt and can be maintained due to the boundaries being removed.

"When an ambient environment feels negative take a moment to expand light and shine into the ambient surroundings."

Preparation
Find a comfortable seated position that does not stress the joints. This will allow the body to remain stable without pain and discomfort, a major distraction in meditation.

Spend at least 5 minutes doing relaxing breathing techniques such as humming or Aums. These breathing techniques naturally lengthen the exhalations and have a soothing affect on the nervous system. This will help to maintain stable rhythmic breathing throughout the meditation.
